William J. Barnard Residence

The William J. Barnard Residence, also known as Green Shadows and the Thornbury Lodge, is a historic home located in Thornbury Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Designed by architect W.E. Jackson and completed in 1907, this two-story dwelling showcases unique architectural features, including a banked stone structure faced in Brandywine Granite and a steeply pitched slate gable roof. The property also includes a former stable converted into a residence called Green Echo. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
