Austin Convention Center

The Austin Convention Center at 500 E César Chávez St is the city's primary large-scale convention and exhibition facility and opened in 1992. The center hosts major events including trade shows, conventions, and national festivals; it is a frequent venue for South by Southwest (SXSW) programming. Its riverside location and large contiguous exhibit halls make it a central civic building for downtown Austin events and tourism.
