Adile Sultan Palace

Adile Sultan Palace, located in the picturesque Kandilli neighborhood of Istanbul, is a former royal residence of Ottoman princess Adile Sultan. Built in 1861 by the renowned architect Sarkis Balyan, the palace offers stunning panoramic views of the Bosphorus. After Adile Sultan's death in 1899, the palace was transformed into a girls' school and later became a cultural center. Following a devastating fire in 1986, the palace underwent a significant restoration, funded by philanthropist Sakıp Sabancı, and reopened in 2006 as the Sakıp Sabancı Kandilli Education and Culture Center. Today, it features various facilities for meetings, exhibitions, and events, making it a vibrant hub for education and culture.
