King's Chapel

King's Chapel was constructed in 1754 on the site of an earlier 17th-century wooden meetinghouse and is notable for its Quincy granite exterior and colonial-era presence in Boston. The chapel's design is commonly attributed to architect Peter Harrison, and the building sits adjacent to the King's Chapel Burying Ground, one of Boston's oldest burial grounds. It remains an active congregation and a documented example of 18th-century ecclesiastical architecture in the city.
