Loring-Greenough House (Georgian country house in Jamaica Plain)

The Loring-Greenough House was built around 1760 for merchant Joshua Loring as a suburban Georgian country house outside colonial Boston. The brick-faced, gambrel-roofed house later became associated with the Greenough family and retains significant original interior woodwork and room configurations. It is preserved and interpreted by a local historical organization as one of Jamaica Plain's oldest surviving buildings and an example of 18th-century domestic architecture.
