Juul's House

Juul's House, built in 1629, is one of the oldest buildings in Aarhus, Denmark, located in the historic Latin Quarter on Mejlgade. This well-preserved half-timbered Renaissance house has served as a paint shop since 1842, making it the oldest of its kind in the country. Originally two houses from around 1600, it has a rich history that includes serving as a merchant's store and home. Visitors can explore its unique architecture, which features four wings surrounding an internal courtyard, and view historical artifacts like a paint bucket signed by employees dating back to 1880. The building's significance is recognized by its listing on the national Danish registry of protected buildings.
