Cornell-Randall-Bailey Roadhouse

The Cornell-Randall-Bailey Roadhouse, located at 2737 Hartford Avenue in Johnston, Rhode Island, is a historic building with roots dating back to the late 18th century. Originally built by Samuel Steere, it was transformed into a tavern by Daniel Cornell in 1821. Over the years, the establishment adapted to changing times, serving as a bordello and gambling house before becoming a gift shop in the 1970s. This well-preserved structure is notable for its architectural significance and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
