Seaholm Power Plant adaptive-reuse project

The Seaholm Power Plant at 800 W César Chávez St is a decommissioned mid-20th-century municipal power plant notable for its Art Deco and industrial concrete architecture. Redeveloped in the 2010s, the site preserved the plant's turbine hall and exterior while adding retail, office, and residential components as part of Austin's waterfront revitalization. The preserved industrial features and public plaza make it a prominent example of adaptive reuse along Lady Bird Lake.
