Former Residence of Wang Zhen

The Former Residence of Wang Zhen, located in Mazhan Village of Beisheng Town in Liuyang, Hunan, China, is a historic site built in the late Qing dynasty. It is notable as the birthplace of Wang Zhen, a prominent figure among the Eight Elders of the Chinese Communist Party. The residence was originally constructed in 1908 but was destroyed by a flood in 1940. It was reconstructed in 2007 and designated as a protected historic site in 2008, making it an important location for both cultural heritage and patriotism education.
