United States Botanic Garden Conservatory

The United States Botanic Garden was established by Congress in 1820 and operates a public Conservatory on the National Mall. The Conservatory's current greenhouse complex dates largely to 1933 and underwent a major restoration completed in 2006. It displays thousands of plant species organized into themed rooms including a tropical house, desert house, and cyclical seasonal exhibits.
