Gum Wall (Post Alley)

The Gum Wall is an informal public installation of chewed gum on a brick wall in Post Alley beneath Pike Place Market that began accumulating in the 1990s. It became a well-known tourist curiosity and was power-washed by city workers in 2015; gum has since reaccumulated. The site is widely photographed and frequently mentioned in guides to Seattle's offbeat public art.
