Robert and Louisa Traip House

The Robert and Louisa Traip House, located in Kittery, Maine, is a historic Greek Revival home built around 1839. Notable for its unique colonnaded design, it features a two-story porch supported by Doric columns and retains original interior trim from the Greek Revival period. Once owned by Robert Traip, a wealthy local gentleman, the house reflects the architectural style of its time and is one of only two known examples in Maine with a three-sided colonnade. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture.
