Stone Store

The Stone Store, located in Kerikeri, New Zealand, is the oldest undamaged stone building in the country, constructed between 1832 and 1836 by the Church Missionary Society. Designed by John Hobbs in a Georgian style, this historic warehouse was built using local basalt and sandstone. It served various purposes over the years, including housing goods, a library, and munitions during conflicts. Today, it is managed as a tourist attraction by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and is recognized as a category 1 building with Heritage New Zealand, highlighting its significance in both local and international history.
