Timothy Hartshorn House

The Timothy Hartshorn House, built around 1787 in Reading, Massachusetts, is a notable example of vernacular Georgian-Federal architecture. This historic 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was constructed by Timothy Hartshorn, a farmer and shoemaker, and remained in his family for over a century. Its distinctive features include five bays, a central chimney, and a main entrance adorned with sidelight windows and fluted pilasters, although partially obscured by a 19th-century porch.
