Union Club of Boston

The Union Club of Boston, established in 1863, is one of the oldest gentlemen's clubs in the U.S., located on Beacon Hill near the Massachusetts State House. Originally two private homes, the clubhouse offers stunning views of Boston Common and the Back Bay. Founded by members who split from the Somerset Club over Civil War loyalties, it became a symbol of unwavering support for the Union. Notably, it was the first male club in Boston to admit women and welcomed its first Black member in 1983.
