Tennessee Governor's Mansion

The Tennessee Governor's Mansion, located in Oak Hill, a suburb of Nashville, serves as the official residence for the governor of Tennessee and their family. Built in 1929 in Georgian style, this historic mansion spans 10 acres and has been home to Tennessee's governors since its purchase by the state in 1949. Notably, it is one of the few state governor's residences not situated in the capital. The mansion underwent significant renovations completed in 2010, which included the addition of Conservation Hall, a LEED-certified meeting space that accommodates up to 160 guests. The mansion is open for public tours by advance reservation, offering visitors a glimpse into the state's political history and architectural heritage.
