Vernon Mount

Vernon Mount is a historic Georgian manor house located in Cork, Ireland, built in the late 18th century. Originally commissioned by the wealthy Hayes family, the house features unique architectural elements designed by Abraham Hargrave, including intricate murals by artist Nathaniel Grogan. Despite its historical significance and inclusion in protected structures, the manor has faced years of neglect, culminating in a devastating fire in 2016 that left it in ruins. Efforts to stabilize and preserve the site continue, but as of 2023, it remains derelict. The area is also connected to Tramore Valley Park by a footbridge named after the manor, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Ireland's architectural heritage.
