Trinity Church (H. H. Richardson)

Trinity Church in Copley Square is a seminal example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, designed by H. H. Richardson and completed in 1877. Its heavy masonry, rounded arches, and polychrome surfaces influenced late 19th-century American architecture. The building was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970.
