Austin Central Library (architectural and literary pilgrimage)

Austin Central Library opened to the public in October 2017 and was designed by Lake|Flato and Shepley Bulfinch. The eight-story building features a rooftop garden with views of downtown Austin and extensive public programming and collections that draw researchers, architects, and book lovers. Visitors often travel specifically to see its architecture, public art, and rooftop ecology as part of cultural itineraries in the city.
