Hull Building

The Hull Building, located in Seattle's historic Belltown neighborhood, is a significant commercial structure built in 1889 by politician Alonzo Hull. Designed by architect Elmer Fisher, this three-story brick building showcases a Victorian style and was one of the first substantial constructions in the area. It originally housed retail spaces and working-class apartments, contributing to the neighborhood's early development. The building has been preserved with minimal alterations, maintaining its historical character, and was home to A-1 Laundry for nearly six decades before being put up for sale in 2016. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in Seattle's architectural and political history.
