Custom House Tower - Boston's first skyscraper and clock tower

The Custom House Tower was completed in 1915 as a 496-foot tower addition to Boston's 19th-century Custom House and became the city's first skyscraper and dominant skyline landmark. It served as Boston's tallest building until 1964 and features a prominent four-sided clock near its summit. The tower was converted to a hotel and timeshare property in the 1990s, preserving its exterior and public observation functions.
