Sun Studio, the recording studio famed for early recordings by Elvis Presley, B.B. King, and others, is often cited in Memphis paranormal roundups; visitors and some staff and tour participants have reported sensing a presence or hearing unexplained sounds in the studio. These reports are commonly recounted in interviews and local tourism materials, and remain anecdotal and disputed. Sun Studio continues to operate as a working studio and museum.
