Rains Brothers Building

The Rains Brothers Building, also known as Miner's Hardware Company and Roosevelt Hotel, was a notable historic commercial structure in Joplin, Missouri, built between 1900 and 1901. This three-story building featured Renaissance Revival architectural details and was part of the Main and Eighth Streets Historic District. It was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, but unfortunately, it was destroyed by fire on March 1, 2012. The site remains of interest to tourists and researchers exploring the rich history of Joplin.
