Roffe Bath

Roffe Bath is a historical monument located in the heart of Yalta, Crimea, designed by architect Nikolay Krasnov. Originally commissioned by merchant Alexey I. Roffe, it features a distinctive Moorish-style pool. This site has hosted notable figures such as Ivan Bunin and Anton Chekhov, making it a point of interest for literary enthusiasts. After a renovation, it was renamed Villa Sofia in honor of singer Sofia Rotaru, who opened a hotel there in 2008. However, the establishment has been closed since 2014, with plans by local authorities to nationalize it and potentially transform it into a wedding palace.
