Morson's Row

Morson's Row, also known as Reid's Row, is a historic set of three rowhouses located in Richmond, Virginia, built in 1853. These three-story brick structures showcase Italianate architectural style with distinctive features such as heavy bracketed cornices and arched doorways. Notably, each house has an off-center, two-bay bow, adding to their unique charm. Recognized for their historical significance, they were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969 and were renamed in 2022 to honor William Ferguson Reid, the first African American lawmaker elected in Virginia during the 20th century. This site offers a glimpse into the architectural and cultural history of the region, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
