Institute of Texan Cultures archaeological holdings

The Institute of Texan Cultures holds and interprets archaeological collections from across Texas, including artifacts from prehistoric and historic-period sites in the San Antonio area. The museum and research staff have used these collections in exhibits and research on indigenous occupation, Spanish colonial contact, and later historic lifeways. The ITC has served as a repository for cataloged materials from regional excavations and surveys.
