Cooper Library in Johnson Park

Cooper Library, located in Johnson Park in Camden, New Jersey, is a historic site built in 1916 and recognized for its architectural and artistic significance. The library features a stunning mosaic frieze by D'Ascenzo Studios and has a rich history tied to the Cooper's Ferry company, a key transportation hub during the American Revolutionary War. After serving various purposes, including a cultural arts center, it is now part of Rutgers University–Camden, functioning as a Digital Studies Center and Writing and Design Lab. The surrounding park, donated by Victor Talking Machine Company founder Eldridge R. Johnson, includes a fountain and bronze statues, making it a picturesque spot for visitors.
