Death of Tupac Shakur (University Medical Center of Southern Nevada)

On September 7, 1996, rapper Tupac Shakur was shot in a drive-by shooting at a stoplight on the Las Vegas Strip after attending a boxing match at the MGM Grand. He was transported to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas and died there on September 13, 1996, six days after the shooting, from complications of his gunshot wounds. The killing remains officially unsolved and has been the subject of ongoing investigation and public speculation.
