Pewabic Pottery - historic iridescent tile studio

Pewabic Pottery, founded in 1903 by Mary Chase Perry Stratton and Horace Caulkins, operates from a historic building and is renowned for its iridescent glazes and architectural tiles. Pewabic tiles were used in prominent Detroit buildings including the Guardian Building and the Fisher Building. The studio continues to produce handcrafted ceramics, offers classes and tours, and operates as a working art studio and museum.
