Mummers Museum - home of Philadelphia's New Year's parade heritage

The Mummers Museum preserves costumes, musical instruments, photographs, and archival materials documenting the tradition of the Philadelphia Mummers and the annual New Year's Day Mummers Parade. The museum opened in 1982 and interprets the social and cultural history of organized Mummers string bands, comics, and other divisions associated with the parade.
