Greenacre (Farmington, Maine)

Greenacre is a historic house located in Farmington, Maine, built in 1880 and recognized as one of the most ornate 19th-century houses in Franklin County. Set on a spacious lot, it features a striking three-story tower and Italianate architectural details. Originally constructed by tanner Joseph Thwing, the property later became a social hub under Harold Titcomb, an internationally renowned mining engineer. The house is adorned with antiques from the Titcombs' travels and includes a period carriage house and a clay tennis court.
