White Rock Lake Park - reservoir with a 9.3-mile loop

White Rock Lake was created in 1911 as a municipal reservoir by damming White Rock Creek and is now a major recreational area in northeast Dallas. The lake features an approximately 9.3-mile multi-use trail used for running, walking, and cycling that encircles the water. The park is also known for sailing, birdwatching, and several shoreline picnic and fishing areas that draw residents from surrounding neighborhoods.
