SFMOMA outdoor terraces

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's 2016 expansion added multiple outdoor terraces and elevated walkways on its upper floors that provide framed views of Yerba Buena Gardens, downtown skyscrapers, and portions of the SOMA neighborhood. These terraces function as semi-private viewing platforms tied to the museum's galleries and are less visible to passersby at street level. Access to these elevated viewpoints is available to museum visitors during open hours and during special events.
