The Driskill Hotel

The Driskill is a Romanesque-style hotel that opened in 1886 and was built by cattleman Jesse Driskill. Located on Sixth Street in downtown Austin, it has long been a social and political gathering place in the city. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to operate as a luxury hotel with a historic lobby and bar.
