Albert P. Crary Science and Engineering Center

The Albert P. Crary Science and Engineering Center (CSEC) at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, is a modern research facility dedicated to various scientific disciplines, including biology, geology, and climate systems. Opened in 1991 and named after renowned geophysicist Albert P. Crary, the center features five pods with a total of 4,320 square meters of workspace, including a biology pod and an aquarium with a salt-water touch tank showcasing local marine life. The second floor houses a computer room, library, and classrooms, making it a hub for scientific research and education in one of the most remote locations on Earth.
