Originally part of land owned by Mount Grace Priory during the late medieval period, the current structure was built in 1653 as both a residence and a knitting factory. The building features a distinctive stone construction with a slate roof and has undergone alterations in the 18th century, including roof and window replacements. Notably, it was designated as a grade II* listed building in 1986, highlighting its architectural significance. Visitors can admire its three bays, central doorway with quoined surround, and a mix of window styles. Adjacent to the main building is a stable block from 1791, also grade II listed, showcasing similar stone craftsmanship.
