Siegfried & Roy tiger incident at The Mirage

On October 3, 2003, magician Roy Horn was seriously injured by a white tiger during a live performance with Siegfried & Roy at The Mirage, effectively ending the duo's Las Vegas show. The incident occurred onstage at the Mirage showroom and prompted widespread media coverage and changes in live-animal performance practices. The Mirage had been the longtime venue for the pair's residency prior to the accident.
