Trinity Church, Copley Square

Trinity Church in Copley Square was designed by architect H. H. Richardson and constructed from 1872 to 1877; its distinctive massing and stonework established the Richardsonian Romanesque architectural style. The church is a National Historic Landmark and features important interior mural and stained-glass work by artists of the period. It occupies a prominent site facing Copley Square and the Boston Public Library.
