Oaks Cloister

Oaks Cloister is a historic mansion located in Germantown, Philadelphia, designed by architect Joseph Miller Huston in 1900. This Tudor-style home showcases a unique blend of architectural influences, including English Tudor, Swiss Chalet, and Craftsman styles, as well as Beaux-Arts details inspired by the Pennsylvania State Capitol. After years of neglect, the mansion underwent extensive restoration from 2002 to 2012, revealing hidden treasures and restoring its 20 rooms to their original splendor. Today, Oaks Cloister serves as a venue for special events and has been recognized on the National Register of Historic Places since 2019, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers alike.
