Metropolitan Edison Building

The Metropolitan Edison Building is a historic office building located in Reading, Pennsylvania, notable for its Chicago-style architecture. Constructed between 1926 and 1927, this twelve-story structure features an L-shape design and is adorned with Indiana limestone, brick, and terra cotta. Standing at 150 feet tall, it originally housed the Metropolitan Edison Company and has a five-story addition completed in 1956. Recognized for its historical significance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
