Main Building, U.S. Bureau of Mines

The Main Building of the U.S. Bureau of Mines, located in Pittsburgh's Squirrel Hill North neighborhood, is a historic structure built between 1915 and 1917 and dedicated in 1919. Designed by architect Henry Hornbostel, it showcases significant architectural features and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. After being acquired by Carnegie Mellon University in 1985, it was renamed Hamburg Hall and now serves as the headquarters for the Heinz College, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
