Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library

The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum, located on the University of Texas at Austin campus, houses the presidential records, oral histories, and artifacts of the 36th U.S. president. The library opened in 1971 and contains extensive documentary collections related to the Johnson administration, including records on civil rights legislation and the Great Society programs. It is managed by the National Archives and Records Administration and is open to researchers and the public.
