Richard Caples Building

The Richard Caples Building is a historic seven-story structure located in El Paso, Texas, notable for its role as the 1910 headquarters for Francisco I. Madero during the Mexican Revolution and as the base for the revolutionary newspaper La Regeneración. Originally constructed as a five-story building, it was the first reinforced concrete structure in El Paso. The building has a rich history, including a lease to the Y.M.C.A. and later to the F. W. Woolworth Company. In 1917, it was expanded by two additional stories designed by the architectural firm Trost & Trost. It has been recognized for its historical significance and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
