Pittock Mansion, early 20th-century hilltop mansion

Pittock Mansion was built in 1914 for Henry L. Pittock, publisher of The Oregonian, and sits on a hill offering panoramic views of Portland and the Cascade Range. The Tudor-style house retains many original furnishings and period details and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The mansion and surrounding grounds are a public museum operated in partnership with the City of Portland and a nonprofit foundation.
