Mountain View Farm (Clifford, Virginia)

Mountain View Farm, also known as Spencer Plantation, is a historic site near Clifford, Virginia, featuring an 18th-century mansion built around 1777 and a 19th-century cottage. The main house, a classic timber frame I-house, was relocated to its current site in 1831. The property includes several supporting structures such as a well house, smokehouse, and playhouse, originally a chicken coop. Since 1987, it has been home to Rebec Vineyards, making it a unique destination for both history enthusiasts and wine lovers. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
