Caswell House (Troy, Michigan)

The Caswell House, located at 60 W. Wattles Road in Troy, Michigan, is a beautifully preserved example of Greek Revival architecture and is part of the Troy Museum and Historic Village. Originally built in 1832 by pioneering farmer Solomon Caswell, the house has a rich history, including a significant restoration after being threatened with demolition in the late 1960s. Designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1969 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the house features a striking front facade with a central entrance and pilasters, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
