Villa Somalia

Villa Somalia, located in Mogadishu, is the presidential residence and office of the President of Somalia, currently Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. Originally built in the Art Deco style in 1936 as the residence for Italian governors, the palace has a rich history, serving various roles throughout Somalia's tumultuous political landscape. After independence in 1960, it became the presidential palace, witnessing significant events during the civil war and subsequent conflicts. The building has been preserved and renovated, symbolizing the resilience of Somalia's governance.
