Bibiyapur Kothi

Bibiyapur Kothi is a historic building in Lucknow, India, constructed in the late 18th century by Asaf-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh. Nestled on the banks of the Gomti River, this neo-classical residence served as a serene retreat for the Nawab, attracting royal court ladies due to its exquisite furnishings. After the Nawab's death, it was used by the British for military celebrations and later became part of an army cantonment. Declared a protected site in 1917, the Kothi is currently managed by the Indian Army, with public access allowed, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
