Mayo Memorial Hall

Mayo Memorial Hall, located in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is a historic building completed in 1879, designed by Richard Roskell Bayne. This large meeting hall features a striking 180-foot high tower and was originally intended for public meetings, balls, and receptions in memory of the assassinated Viceroy Mayo. The interior showcases Victorian-era designs, influenced by Professor Gamble from the South Kensington Museum. Today, it serves as the Amitabh Bachchan Sports Complex, making it a notable example of Raj-era architecture and a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
