Houston Museum of Natural Science - Native American and pre-Columbian collections

The Houston Museum of Natural Science maintains collections of Native American and pre-Columbian artifacts from Texas and throughout the Americas and interprets indigenous cultures and archaeology through exhibits and educational programs. Its collections have included pottery, stone tools, and other materials recovered from archaeological contexts in the Gulf Coast, Plains, and Southwest. HMNS collaborates with archaeologists and universities on research and public programs related to indigenous history in Texas.
